
The countdown to the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion begins. Officially announced to take place in New York City on November 30th, fans can hardly wait to see what this year’s collection will bring, being as famous as it is for its extravagant and exciting shows. On a sadder not however, Victoria Secret angel Heidi Klum states she will be hanging up her wings after 13 years of reign as one of the brand’s most recognizable faces. Who will be taking her place as head angel is still being decided, and we can’t wait to see for ourselves.


Never failing to impress us with her creative quirkiness, Gwen Stefani’s line LAMB is here in time for Spring 2011. Though she always delivers something new, there is always a repeating silhouette or style that is reborn in every collection. The military look isn’t exactly the most surprising trend to hit the runways this season, since it has been a consistent look for a while now, but nonetheless it is here again. Not only is it seen in the styles of jackets, shirts, and pants, but it is also unmistakably found in the current looks of shoes. Whether it’s on heels, platforms, or a more masculine shape, the military theme prevails. Making its comeback in 2009, braided hair continues its popularity into 2010. Particularly featured on this year‘s runways, it has also recently been brought to the streets by celebrities and fashion lovers everywhere. Once again, the 50’s have reached today’s runways. Designers just can’t seem to get enough of the beautiful and feminine silhouettes that defined women of this era. This Fall season, women can look forward to buying pieces such as bustiers to extenuate their curves, and full, or fitted, knee-length skirts, in a variety of subdued colors in keeping with the spirit of autumn. Other ways to have fun with this trend could be by using winged black eyeliner or playing up the lips with some bright red lipstick.
